The children learnt some new breathing techniques to use when they are feeling worried, anxious or angry. They also looked at Superhero poses to make them feel strong, powerful and brave.
We explored the question: How could we launch into space?
We looked at different rockets launching into space and thought about how else could we travel to space. Year 2 decided to design and make their very own jet packs! Year 1 designed and made their own rockets.
We also made our own class rocket to carry out an investigation of which one would travel the furthest with 'balloon power!' The winning rocket came from Elm class with Willow Class coming a close 2nd!
Geography Week - Friday 19th November
As part of our Geography week, 6MS and Willow class have paired up and presented our research based on a country. Year 1 focused on India and year 6 chose a selection of North American countries. Both sets of children did brilliantly and we all learnt a lot of new and interesting information!

School Council Fundraising
This year, the school council would like children to create Christmas Cards and support Mission Christmas.
Firstly, the children have been asked to make cards for people who may be lonely and isolated this Christmas. These should be done on card, be colourful and have a nice poem/message inside. Please return them to school for Thursday 11th November.
Secondly, we are supporting Mission Christmas in partnership with HITS radio. They send gifts to children who are less fortunate and otherwise wouldn't receive gifts at Christmas. Any donations would be gratefully received. Please remember to label the present with the appropriate age group. The deadline for gifts is Friday 10th December.
