Wellbeing

Welcome to our Wellbeing page

Please find some useful links if you have any concerns about your child's emotional and mental wellbeing. You are always welcome to discuss any concerns with the staff in school. We have a number of people who are trained in supporting the children's mental health and we understand how important it is for children to feel happy and settled in school in order to thrive.

Sleep is vital to children's wellbeing and parents! The Together Trust have some fantastic information and advice if you are struggling with your child's sleep. They have highly trained practitioners that can support you and your child with your sleep needs and concerns. They also run some parent workshops that some of our parents have previously attended and found incredibly helpful.

Monday 7th February - This week is Children’s Mental Health Week and as a school we have arranged for all classes in KS1 and KS2 to participate in mindfulness workshops to help them relax and keep calm. They will hopefully learn tips which the can apply when they need to. Have a look at some of the class pages to see how they got on with their sessions.

We hope you all have a lovely Christmas holidays and manage to relax and spend some time together.  We look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for the new term in January.

November 2021 - This month the children take part in the national 'Anti-Bullying Week'.  Activities, workshops and discussions are arranged for the children giving them to the chance to talk about their feelings around bullying, how it can be dealt with and what it looks like.  This year's theme is: 'One Kind Word'. This build on the work we do throughout the year around bullying.

Think About It Thursday

Each Thursday we have a class based assembly where each class discusses a particular issue or theme. Some of the topics we discuss range from building resilience, to friendship group, democracy and how it can play a part in our school, anti-bullying and internet safety. The children have the opportunity to participate in class discussions around the given topic.  Every class does the same topic at the same time, allowing for continuity across the school.
