What homework does my child need to complete?

We believe that children’s homework should support the learning that takes place in school. We also recognise that homework can be difficult to complete if many situations. Therefore, we have come up with a homework strategy that enables flexibility whilst adding value to the in school learning.

Each week we encourage the children to complete:

  • Reading – Children are expected to read their e-book each week.
  • Children will also have a library book to take home each week.
  • Reading Eggs
  • Phonics – Each week, please practise the sounds that the children have been learning.
  • Suggested home learning – each week teachers plan activities that link with school learning.
  • Spellings – We would ask that you work with your child to practise these at home.
