World Book Day

The children had lots of fun today because of our 'World Book Day' celebrations. The children dressed up as a wide variety of characters, Mr. Hines dressed as a 'pirate' and Mrs. Wilkinson came as 'Gangsta Granny'. The children designed and labelled their own pirate ship, using noun phrases, adverbs, similes and alliteration. They also planned out a pirate journey - using as much old-fashioned 'pirate language' as possible. Miss Munday then taught the children a riddle lesson and in the afternoon we read our books with the Year 6 children, wrote a character description and made a bookmark!
