Mapwork on Stamford Park - 29.9.2023.

This week, Year 3 visited Stamford Park as part of our 'New Beginnings' topic. In our Geography lessons we have been studying maps of our new classroom and our new school department and learning how to understand and make 'keys' for maps. We applied these skills at Stamford Park, navigating around using a compass to help us find our way. We followed a 'treasure hunt', produced a key for our map of the park and stopped off briefly to admire the duckpond! I was very impressed that the children could identify the 'mallard' ducks and the 'moorhens' swimming around!
