Admissions

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision for any parent / carer. We are delighted that you are visiting our website to learn more about what we offer and would urge you to make an appointment / attend one of our many open events to find out more; during the course of the year we hold regular Nursery Open Mornings, Reception Open Mornings and Whole School Tours too. For further information on upcoming open events, please contact the school office at office@spprimary.org.uk or see the letter below for further information on available dates. New dates will be added for 2025 admission in July 2024.

Reception

All admissions, excluding Nursery, are dealt with by Trafford Council. The application process for children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020, to start primary school in September 2024, will open in September 2023. The closing date for primary admissions is 15th January 2024. School offers will be made by Trafford LA in April 2023.

Nursery

If you are considering applying for a nursery place, please see our Nursery Admissions and Charging Policy below. If you wish to apply for a place, please complete the form below and return this to the school office at childcare@spprimary.org.uk Copies of the form and the policy are also obtainable from the school office. 

In-Year Admissions

If you move into Trafford, or you are a Trafford resident who wishes to transfer your child from one school to another, outside the normal transfer timetable, this is referred to as an “In Year” transfer. Applications can be submitted to any school or can be submitted online through Trafford’s Online Application System. Our office team will be more than happy to provide any further information regarding in-year admissions.
