  • Ramadan Assembly

    Today, Years 1 and 2 took part in a Ramadan assembly held by Gazzala from the Altrincham and Hale Muslim Association. Gazzala shared with the children the importance of fasting for Muslims during the month of Ramadan. The children really enjoyed listening and asked some fantastic questions! Many thanks to the Altrincham and Hale Muslim Association for visiting our school.

  • Downs Syndrome Day

    In support of Down Syndrome Day, a group of parents completed a sponsored walk in the local area this morning. The children were also educated about Down Syndrome and how everyone is unique in a series of assemblies this week. Stamford Park Primary School is an inclusive school where we recognise and celebrate that everyone is different. Well done to all the parents who took part - we hope you've got your feet up this evening!

  • EAL Coffee Morning

    This week, Ms Esa and our EAL team, held our first ever EAL coffee morning. This was an opportunity for parents / carers to learn more about our EAL provision here in school, as well as to meet with other parents from the school. It was a huge success and we do hope more of you will join us at our summer term coffee morning.

  • Taste Testing!

    Our School Council and some other taste testers have been hard at work today trying a few new dishes that Rose (our fantastic Catering Manager) is hoping to put on our new spring menu here. Caribbean jerk chicken was a firm favourite, along with sweet potato wedges and alioli; the spinach and feta pie was equally popular with some tables! Thumbs up all round!

  • New Nursery Area

    We are delighted to share our new Nursery outdoor area with you. This area is to the front of our Nursery and previously looked rather unloved, so we're excited that the children can now use it whenever we want. Mrs Williams and Mrs Stirrup are busy making a list of things they want to do here!

  • Maths Challenge!

    This week, eight Year 5 children took part in the annual Wellington Maths Competition. They worked as two teams, solving a variety of maths problems and puzzles which not only tested their maths skills but their team working skills. They all worked brilliantly together with one team coming second in the competition out of sixteen teams from other local schools. Very well done to them all!

  • Christmas Festivities

    We've had a wonderful few weeks of festive happenings here at Stamford Park Primary School. Our Nursery, Reception and Year 3 classes have shared some fantastic Christmas performances with their peers as well as their parents / carers too. We've had Christmas dinners, Christmas discos, Christmas jumper days and even a Christmas trip next week to the cinema for Key Stage 2! Our Infant children had a very special visitor earlier this week, and even his reindeers turned up too! Many thanks to our PTA for all their support in organising these many events.   • PTA Football Freestyle Workshops

    This week our fabulous PTA team organised a visit from Stephen Gray, a professional football freestyler! He led a very exciting assembly and delivered workshops for the children, teaching them and the staff how to master football tricks and skills.

  • Sporting Events

    As always at Stamford Park Primary School, we've got a very strong focus on competitive sport and ensuring as many pupils as possible have the opportunity to participate. Our netball teams are off to Alderley Edge School for Girls this afternoon to take part in a netball match, while our hockey team are playing in the league tonight. We've also got children attending a Sports Hall Athletics event on Thursday as well.

  • Remembrance Day

    Today, Years 2, 3, 5 and 6 attended a Remembrance Service at St Peter's Church in Hale. All the children made poppies, which they planted in the grounds of the church. Later this afternoon, our Year 4 children also visited to plant their poppies, while our Year 1 children walked to the cenotaph yesterday to hold their two minutes silence.

  • Diwali Day 2022

    On Wednesday 2nd November, Stamford Park Primary came together and celebrated Diwali Day as a whole school.

    We dressed up in beautiful, colourful clothes and enjoyed a day full of brilliant activities. We had dancing, rangoli patterns, special guests sharing their Diwali experiences and we even had a Diwali snack of samosas! Yummy!

    A huge thank you to the parents and grandparents who came in and spoke to the children about their experiences of Diwali.
